From the last post about LPA's...... Radio 4 has just run a feature on people targeting dementia sufferers.
The LPA can also help to protect you from predation by unscrupulous people.
If the person without capacity signs or accepts and contract or service if it be bank, company or individual you can intervene and on their behalf.
We were able to prevent an inappropriate credit card insurance from taking place automatically through the bank, without the LPA this would have been a much more difficult exercise.
